THE HISTORY OF A STEADY DEVELOPMENT
Antwerp 1926. The Van Aerden workshop started manufacturing tools for strapping different types of wooden crates. The distribution onto the Belgium-Luxembourg market was ensured by the company Cerclindus, founded in 1935. The aftermath of the war and the trends in packaging allowed this company to make great technological advances: it invented several packaging and marking systems and has been commercializing pneumatic fastening tools since 1956.
A CONSTANT EXPANSION
The eighties were marked by an exceptional growth of Cerclindus, due to the successive buy-outs of companies specialized in packaging, industrial and DIY fastening. In 1986 it bought notably the French company Sofragraf and its subsidiaries. The Van Aerden Group was born. This long and rich experience has enabled the Group to build up its financial solidity and to take a privileged position on the European packaging and fastening markets.
